IPD ÑÇÖÞɫͼs are a unique way for faculty and staff to gain insight into how study abroad ÑÇÖÞɫͼs operate, the challenges international students face when they come to the U.S., and new ways to infuse international content into existing courses or create new courses with an international focus. Programs regularly available include:

Ready to apply now? Go to the and get started using the application "Faculty-Led Program Proposal" for the year you wish to teach. Keep in mind the deadline to teach abroad is typically 12-18 months prior to ÑÇÖÞɫͼ departure, so plan early!

Faculty Study Abroad Ambassadors (FSAAs) ensure that our ÑÇÖÞɫͼ State faculty community is aware of the study abroad opportunities available to our students as well as the opportunities for our faculty to teach and participate in professional development abroad. FSAAs have been invaluable in partnering with the Education Abroad Office to both educate students and departmental faculty and to create materials and ÑÇÖÞɫͼs.
FSAAs:

Serve as a point of contact for faculty who wish to teach abroad

Serve as a point of contact for students within their academic department

Know the Education Abroad resources available for students in their department

Serve as a conduit between the Education Abroad Office and the academic department for dissemination of deadlines, opportunities for teaching abroad, credit equivalencies for study abroad students, and curriculum integration for study abroad within the department

The GEO is an award made to faculty and staff who seek to create new and innovative international education ÑÇÖÞɫͼming within or outside the MSU campus classroom. Awards are made when funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Application materials are available by contacting the the Director of Education Abroad.
