DISABILITY RETIREMENT INCOME
Disability Through the Retirement Systems

Both retirement systems, KERS and TRS, offer the benefit of total disability retirement to employees that are vested in either retirement system.

Medical and life insurance coverage may be continued while retirement system's decision on disability is pending. The employee will be required to pay his/her share of the insurance premium.
