Scholars and Practitioners Organizations
The NLS Program offers a broad-based approach to the development of the future leaders of the nonprofit sector through undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as leadership, networking, funding, and promotion of quality practice. Through its educational ÑÇÖÞɫͼs, as well as membership in the leading national organization for scholars and practitioners.
The NLS Program is positioned at the cutting edge of curriculum development, scholarship, and career networking. The ÑÇÖÞɫͼ is a member of NACC and is working toward formal accreditation.
Students have the opportunity to join Nu Lambda Mu, the international honor society to recognize dedication to the study of nonprofit management, philanthropy, and social entrepreneurship/enterprise. Its mission is to advance the study of nonprofit organizations and their function in society and to promote scholarly achievement among those who engage in these academic pursuits.
Kentucky Nonprofit Network is the Commonwealth’s state association of nonprofit organizations.
The Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) is a diverse community of scholars, educators, and practice leaders that strengthens the field of nonprofit and philanthropic research in order to improve civil society and human life.
